December 2018 | Finishing 2018!

We had an amazing weekend hosting Kevin McGinn for a private clinic at our farm followed up with our annual Holiday party! The weather was perfect, everyone learned a lot, and had a blast! We can’t wait to welcome Kevin back in 2019! Happy holidays!

October 2018 | Southwest Showdown

Rome Rehme moved up to the 18”, won her U/S on Piece of Rain and had numerous other outstanding placings! Louisa Rehme competed in her first horse show, winning Reserve Champion in the X-Rails on Locomotion! Blair Englander & Kahlua had lots of clear rounds and blues in the 1.10 & 1.15! Christine competed Steel the Love in his first $15,000 1.35 Classic, making it back to the jump off and coming in 10th!

August 2018 | Week IV of Hipico Sante Fe

Westridge trainer, Christine Rishell, stayed on for the final week at the Hipico Summer Series as she was elected to team California in the “Battle of the States” on Shelby Beard’s gelding, Steel the Love. “Steel” also moved up to his first 1.30 class earning a first place prize, as well as placing 7th in the $5000 1.20 AOHCJI, and tying with Colorado in the Battle of the States Challenge. In addition, Mia Kertson was awarded Reserve Circuit Champion in the Children’s Hunter’s on Blair Englanders’ Bart Xequoia! We are already looking forward to next year to say the least!

August 2018 | Week III of Hipico Sante Fe

Another successful week in Santa Fe! Mia Kertson was Reserve Champion in the Children’s Hunters and Equitation on Bart Xequoia, Champion and Reserve Champion on Jillian Glubke’s “Piece of Rain. Teri Jones and Brookfield earned a Reserve Champion in the Modified Adults, Blair Englander and Kahlua placed in the top of the 1.15m, and Christine and Steel the Love had a blast competing for the first time in the “Ride and Drive”!

August 2018 | Week II of Hipico Sante Fe

We couldn’t have asked for a better 1st week at Hipico! All of the riders representing Team Westridge brought home a first place, and had a blast! Furthermore, Rome Rheme rode her little heart out and earned a Championship and Reserve Championship on Jillian Glubke's “Piece of Rain" in honor of her late grandfather, Papa Creed, who recently passed. We couldn’t be prouder of her, and her sister Louisa, who competed in Lead Line, for their tenacity and perseverance!
